Swindon Torun Ice Hockey Match 15.07.2004
During a visit to the UK for a tournament in Oxford, the Torun Junior Ice Hockey Team visited Swindon, and played a friendly game with Swindon Lynx at the Link Centre.
Swindon defeated the visitors by 6 to 2, in a great match played in an atmosphere of international friendship and watched on by Swindon Mayor, Peter Stoddard.
The Torun team were without their goal minder, and had a reduced squad of just 9, so during the friendly scrummage, 2 Swindon players mucked in with Torun shirts. After a slow start, Swindon took the lead and stayed out in front till the end.
